Eating right is very easy. It is enough to find alternatives to some products and change your eating habits a little. All this is much simpler than it seems.
Swap cow’s milk cheese for goat cheese
Firstly, it will simply diversify your menu and pleasantly change the taste of familiar dishes for the better. Secondly, cheese made from cow’s milk is a heavy product that is poorly absorbed by the body, while cheese made from goat or sheep is more readily accepted by our body. Your stomach will thank you.
Replace bread with whole grain breads
No matter how tempting fresh bread made from white refined flour smells, do not fall for this provocation. Remember that he is one of the main enemies of harmony and strength. When buying bread, pay attention to its composition. Ideally, white flour should not be present at all or at the end of the list of ingredients. It’s even better to switch to bread altogether ─ less calorie and definitely healthier.
Replace milk and white chocolate with dark chocolate
For starters, it’s just healthier. Chocolate with more than 70% cocoa content improves brain function, improves mood and is rich in antioxidants. Well, secondly, it is lower in calories (of course, if you choose one without fruit or nut additives ─ and this is exactly what you should choose) and, as a rule, contains virtually no additives such as flavors or dyes.
Replace sauces with lemon and spices
A salad of green leaves and vegetables does not need to be seasoned with oil or high-calorie sauces; the right combination of spices, dried herbs and lemon juice can easily replace all of this. The main thing is to find your favorite combination. For example: black pepper, basil, rosemary and lemon.
Make breakfast your main meal
At the beginning of the day, our digestive system is working at 100%, so it is quite easy for it to digest all the foods we eat. On average, this takes approximately 6 hours. That is, if you have breakfast at 8 am, then by two o’clock in the afternoon all foods will have already been digested and the digestive system will again be ready for intensive work. However, at this time, its activity will already be reduced by 20%, and the process of digesting food will increase to 8 hours, which means that the final absorption of food will occur only by ten o’clock in the evening.
Starting from six to seven hours in the afternoon, the activity of the digestive system decreases by another 60% ─ fatigue from continuous work throughout the day takes its toll – and digestion stretches for as long as 12 hours. It turns out that the food received at dinner will be absorbed already during sleep.
As a result, the digestive system will not be able to fully rest, the next day you will feel unwell in the morning and general fatigue, and the food you eat will be stored in fat. It’s not for nothing that the saying goes: eat breakfast yourself, share lunch with a friend, and give dinner to your enemy.
