Realme introduced a new mid-range smartphone that beats almost all its competitors

It has a flagship camera and fast charging, and in some characteristics it outperforms the flagships of Samsung and Apple.

The Realme brand has officially introduced the mid-budget Realme 12 Pro series . The key smartphone was the 12 Pro Plus: this is a pretty remarkable device, based on the price-to-feature ratio.

The main focus of the Realme 12 Pro+ was on photo capabilities: the main camera has a 50 MP Sony IMX890 (1/1.56-inch) sensor with OIS. There is also a 64 MP periscope module with 3X optical and 120X digital zoom. Essentially, this is a mid-budget smartphone with a flagship camera, writes Phone Arena.

Another feature of the device is a screen with a PWM adjustment frequency of 2160 Hz. Even for not very expensive smartphones, this is an impressive parameter. As a rule, this figure is usually five times less. For example, the latest Galaxy S24 and iPhone do not exceed 500 Hz .

Among other characteristics of realme 12 Pro+

  • Screen:  6.7 inches, AMOLED, FHD+, 120 Hz, peak brightness 950 nits;
  • Processor:  Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2;
  • Memory:  8/12 GB RAM, 128/256 GB permanent;
  • Battery:  5000 mAh, fast charging 67 W;
  • OS:  Android 14 (realme UI 5.0).

The starting version of realme 12 Pro+ will cost $360 (about 13,000 UAH). The maximum modification with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal memory was priced at $410. New items should also appear in Europe.

Realme 12 Pro is similar to the older model in design, but with slightly simpler characteristics: Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, 32-megapixel telephoto instead of 64, and the main sensor is 50-megapixel Sony IMX882. The display, battery and charging power are the same. Prices for it start at $315.

Earlier this month, Realme already released an ultra-budget smartphone for $65 , which in terms of characteristics is superior to its competitors. There is a 90 Hz IPS screen, a large 5000 mAh battery, and protection against moisture and dust according to the IP54 standard,

And if you are looking for powerful hardware, AnTuTu shared a rating of the most powerful smartphones at the beginning of 2024. Thus, the leader of the rating in terms of power outperforms the iPhone 15 Pro Max by almost 30%, while costing half as much.
