Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have officially concluded their divorce proceedings.
After months of media scrutiny surrounding their highly publicized split, the former couple finalized their divorce on Friday, as confirmed by legal documents obtained by People magazine.
Although the majority of their divorce settlement was reached back in September, a recent agreement exempted both Costner, 69, and Baumgartner, 49, from attending a mandatory co-parenting course.
Under the terms of the final agreement, Costner and Baumgartner will maintain joint custody of their three children: Cayden, aged 16, Hayes, aged 15, and Grace, aged 13.
Baumgartner initially filed for divorce in May 2023 after 18 years of marriage to Costner, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their separation.
In September, a spokesperson for Costner confirmed to People that the divorce proceedings were “amicable.” The representative stated that Costner and Baumgartner had come to a “mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues pertaining to their divorce proceedings.”
This marks the second divorce for Costner, who was previously married to Cindy Silva from 1978 to 1994. Costner and Silva share three adult children together.
