The Samsung brand held its first big Unpacked presentation this year, where it presented the flagship Galaxy S24 series . Like its predecessors, it includes three models: S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra.
The main bet in the new generation was placed on AI chips. Galaxy AI is the name of a comprehensive mobile artificial intelligence system. Samsung also promised to release updates to the Android operating system for new products for a record seven years.
Galaxy S24 и S24+
There are not many differences between them. The Galaxy S24 has a 6.2-inch panel, up to 8+256 GB of memory and a 4000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging, while the Galaxy S24+ has a 6.7-inch screen, up to 12+512 GB of memory and a 4900 mAh battery with charging 45 W.
Both devices received a Dynamic AMOLED matrix with a frame rate of 120 Hz, which is covered with tempered Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The set of cameras is the same: 12 megapixels for selfies, a 50 megapixel main one, a 12 megapixel ultra-wide and a 10 megapixel telephoto lens with the ability to triple optical zoom .
There are some significant changes inside the new products. The main innovation is the top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy processor, which allows you to use advanced AI functions. But in Europe, smartphones will be sold with the branded Exynos 2400.
Galaxy S24 Ultra
Among the distinctive features of this year’s top model are not only a stylus and a 200 megapixel camera, but also a new 50 megapixel telephoto lens – this has never been seen in the company’s smartphones. And in other respects, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is superior to its younger brothers.
It has a 6.8-inch screen with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus Armor, up to 12 GB + 1 TB of memory in the top and a 5000 mAh battery with support for 45 W fast charging. The phone received an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
This model takes pictures better than the “basic” ones due to four modules: a 200 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and two telephoto lenses of 10 MP (3x optical zoom) and 50 MP (5x optical zoom). There is also a Laser AF depth sensor.
In terms of design, the new product differs little from its predecessor. But the end frame is now made not of reinforced aluminum, but of titanium. Apparently, the use of titanium in smartphone design will now be a new trend.

The start of sales of all new products is scheduled for January 31, prices are as follows:
