Colombian singer Shakira has been hospitalized in Peru during her world tour, The Guardian reports.
The singer went to the emergency room of a clinic in the country’s capital Lima complaining of severe abdominal pain. Doctors have decided to hospitalise her.
Shakira later addressed her fans. She said doctors had advised her to cancel the performance. The singer also expressed hope that she would be discharged from hospital soon.
In total, Shakira is scheduled to perform about 50 concerts in Latin America by the end of June.
