Angelina Jolie took home her first Tony Award
Angelina Jolie took home her first Tony Award for S.E. For the production of the musical “The Outsiders” based on Hinton’s classic novel of the same name (1967).
The victory in the “Best Musical” category will bring him closer to becoming one of 15 performers who have received “Emmy”, “Grammy”, “Oscar” and “Tony”.
Jolie walked the red carpet and main stage with her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, who helped her mother produce the Broadway show. The duo chose turquoise dresses for the special event. Angelina was wearing a fine velvet dress by Versace, and Vivienne chose a vest, suitable trousers and converses.
When mother and daughter went on stage with The Outsiders, producer Matthew Rego gave special thanks to Jolie in his speech of gratitude. He also mentioned the author of the novel S.E. Hinton, who was in the hall.
