Hearty pita snacks: 3 incredible dishes in 10 minutes

Lavash snacks are very popular food, since such a dish can be prepared from a minimum of ingredients. The filling for pita bread can be very different: meat, vegetable, cheese and even sweet.

Lavash can be either an appetizer or a main hot dish. Preparing dishes from lavash is very simple – just put the filling on it and wrap it. A huge number of recipe variations and ease of preparation make lavash an ideal snack for any occasion.

Lavash with minced meat and tomatoes

  • Thin pita bread – 3 sheets.
  • Minced meat from any meat – 350 g.
  • Onion – 1 pc.
  • Carrots – 1 pc.
  • Small tomatoes – 3 pcs.
  • Yellow cheese – 50 g.
  • Lettuce leaves.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Mayonnaise.
  • Lemon juice.
  • Pepper, salt to taste.

Finely chop the onion and grate the carrots. Fry the onion in a frying pan until golden brown, add the carrots and fry until half cooked. Add minced meat to the frying pan and stir, add salt. Fry until the minced meat is cooked (about 25 minutes), stirring regularly. 

Cut the tomatoes into slices. Coarsely chop the lettuce leaves. Finely chop the garlic and mix with mayonnaise and lemon juice.

Unroll a sheet of pita bread, brush it with garlic mayonnaise and sprinkle with chopped lettuce leaves. Place minced meat and vegetables on top. Grease the second sheet with mayonnaise and garlic on both sides and place on the first. Arrange the lettuce and tomatoes on this sheet and pour a little mayonnaise over it. Cover with a third sheet. Sprinkle the third sheet with grated cheese.

Carefully roll the pita bread into a roll and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. Before serving, cut into circles.

Lavash appetizer with crab sticks and corn

  • Lavash – 1 sheet.
  • Chicken eggs – 3 pcs.
  • Canned corn – 3 tables. l.
  • Crab sticks – 200 g.
  • Processed cheese – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise.
  • Garlic – 1 clove.

Hard boil the eggs (10 minutes) and grate on a coarse grater. Cut crab sticks into slices. Grate the cheese. Finely chop the garlic and mix with mayonnaise. Drain the corn.

Lay out the lavash sheet and brush with garlic mayonnaise, leaving 2 centimeters free around the edges. Place crab sticks on pita bread. Sprinkle with grated melted cheese and eggs. Add salt to taste. Add corn. 

Wrap the pita bread in a roll and put it in the refrigerator. Cut into slices for serving.

Lavash with feta and herbs

  • Lavash – 1 sheet.
  • Feta cheese – 400 g.
  • Sour cream – 3 tbsp. l.
  • Garlic – 2 cloves.
  • Greens (dill, parsley, cilantro).
  • Salt and pepper to taste. 

Finely chop the garlic, chop the herbs. Mash the feta in a bowl with a fork. Add sour cream and stir until smooth. Add herbs and garlic to it. Place the cheese mixture with herbs on the pita bread and roll it up. A light cheese snack is ready!
