Michael Strahan’s daughter Isabella undergoes emergency surgery
This was not the health update that Isabella Strahan had anticipated sharing.
Isabella, the 19-year-old daughter of Michael Strahan, is currently undergoing treatment for brain cancer. However, she recently had to undergo emergency surgery after multiple unexpected hospital visits.
In a YouTube video on March 5, Isabella explained that she had been experiencing frequent fevers. She emphasized that any fever above 100.4 required immediate medical attention.
After spending three days in the hospital, receiving a blood transfusion and undergoing an MRI, Isabella was discharged. Unfortunately, she found herself back in the hospital less than 12 hours later.
In a lighthearted manner, Isabella joked that she had “catfished everyone” by returning to the hospital with a fever of 102. She expressed frustration that the medical professionals were unable to determine the cause of her symptoms.
Isabella, who has a twin sister named Sophia, described this fever as the worst she had experienced. Although she didn’t feel as terrible as the first time, she had a severe headache and decided to seek medical help.
To her disappointment, the night did not go as planned. Isabella revealed that she had to undergo last-minute surgery to drain fluid from the back of her head. She explained that a needle would be inserted into her head to perform the procedure.
While she would be under anesthesia during the surgery, Isabella expressed her frustration at having to return to the hospital unexpectedly.
Since her diagnosis of medulloblastoma, a malignant brain tumor, in October, Isabella has been sharing her cancer journey with her fans through vlogs. This includes documenting her first round of chemotherapy.
